Medical HealthCareTransformation Manager inGenitourinaryCanceris responsible foroncology GUportfolio/pipelinemanagement,providesmedical strategy andcontribution tobusiness strategic and operational planning. This includes the development ofmedicalteam(direct reports)and theoversightoftheexecution of Medical Affairs plans and aiding the delivery of clinical insight, customer focus, and clinical governance into Medical and Business Unitobjectives. This professional also contributes to the development of pre-launch and post-launch medical plans andcollaborateswith AZ cross-functional teams, externalexpertsand healthcare stakeholders. This position can be accountable formanagementofspecificteam.

Tasks will include:

People Management and Development 

  • Manage,coachandmonitordirectteam performance 

  • Supportsdevelopmentof team members in line with individual development needs and plans.

  • Ensure andmonitorcompliancein respectiveteam members and/orthird partiesaccording toPortuguese law andAstraZeneca codes,policiesand standards

Scientific Management,establishtransforming careinitiativesmaintainingstrong relationships with key partners of healthcare ecosystem 

  • Lead the scientific and medical strategic contribution inGenitourinary cancersetting.

  • Identifyand partner with national, regional/local Key External Experts (KEEs) healthcare ecosystem stakeholders and PAGs to build partnerships and develop transforming care initiatives, aligned withGenitourinary cancerAZstrategy and NHS needs.

Contribution toGenitourinary cancerAZportfolio/pipeline strategy by supporting cross-functional and regional team(s)

  • Design, develop and manage medicalplanforGenitourinary cancerAZ portfolio/pipeline,including scientific, medical education and transforming care initiatives

  • Provide AZ with an understanding of the local medical community landscape, clinical practice trends and real and/or perceived gaps in current scientific knowledge and medicaltreatment.

Medical Value – Access 

  • Participation in Market Access and Medical Affairs meetings,providingcustomer insightsintovaluepropositions.

  • Contribute to business planning and Market Accessstrategyfor Genitourinary cancer.

Local Evidence and Clinical Research Contribution 

  • Ensure medical support to Clinical Operations team 

  • Providestrategic guidance andparticipateas medical expert and scientific contributor in the design,developmentand conduction of thelocal evidencegeneration programs.

Profile...

  • MD, PharmD, or PhD in a scientific discipline

  • Strong knowledge ofPortuguesenational healthcare ecosystem

  • Strong and proven leadership skills 

  • Validated ability to effectively build partnerships, relationships and collaborate internally and externally.

  • Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluent in Portuguese and Advance Level in English

  • Excellence in leadership, strategic attitude, project management, internal and external relationship management, analytical/problem solving skills
